To take things one step further, here are three more excellent tools to get your team members engaged and learning.

1. Think. Pair. Share.

• Provide a certain problem, question or topic.

• Pair up your learners. Give them enough time to develop a conclusion or answer to the question/topic.

• Have one of the partners share their results.

2. World Café

• Small groups take positions at different tables with the same questions.

• Make one person the team host – they collect responses and facilitate discussion.

• After a designated amount of time, everyone except the host moves tables and another question I presented.

• The table host presents responses through discussion, using a whiteboard, or other visual display.

3. Video Blog

• Create a three-minute video of the content shared in the lesson.

• Share it with your learners two days after the learning event.

• Alternative: Have your learners create a one-minute video of their best takeaways from the lesson to be shared with the group.

Give one (or all!) of these three engagement techniques a try and see how it helps your learners.
