Visual Learners: Here's how to take advantage of your learning style and increase team engagement
Join hall of fame motivational speaker and team building expert Tyler Hayden as he explores a couple tips on engaging your team members who are visual learners. Creating better workplace engagement.
As a visual/spatial learner, you can picture complex content in your head. You take the information you observe from your environment and organize it into pictures to analyze and understand it. You are a master at comprehending charts and graphs and thrive when given opportunities to create them.
Here’s how you can use your visual/spatial learning to engage with your team:
For online meetings, make sure that you turn your camera on and request that others do the same. This will help you connect with the speaker and what they are saying.
Volunteer to create charts, graphs, and other visual representations of complex information.
Map out strategies for attacking group problems and the path to the solutions.
Bonus:Team up with a verbal/linguistic learner when making displays or marketing materials. Have the verbal/linguistic learner explain concepts while you create the maps and visuals. Together you can collaborate to make impactful handouts and documents.
