There are 5 factors to ensuring your instructional content is engaging. Are you using number 5?
Nothing better than interactive team building ... interaction can take several forms. But no matter which way you cut it.. its vital to team building
By now, you know the importance of keeping your team engaged in a learning environment.
Doing so increases motivation and productivity and promotes learner success.
To keep your team members engaged in a learning environment, ask yourself if your content is:
Relevant
Organised
Interesting
Current
Interactive
Today we’ll look at the fifth and final one: keeping your content interactive!
Rather than just talking at your audience, try this:
Share videos and podcasts that promote self-directed learning
Use social media interaction and common interests as part of your learning tool offerings
Use purposeful movement such as hands-on activities and games
Create interactions between team members by promoting discussions and collaborative problem solving
It’s important to find ways of interacting with your team members so that they feel like they are part of the learning conversation.
Remember:
A learner or team member’s level of engagement directly correlates with their level of success with the learning event.
And you have the power (and now the tools!) to keep them engaged!
Which of the 5 factors do you find the most helpful?
How do you incorporate them into your instructional materials to increase team engagement?
