Engagement is essential to growth and progress in the workplace, and it plays an enormous role in both individual and team satisfaction.
There are many approaches that you can take to improve team engagement for both you and your team, but there’s a key component that you may not have yet considered:
Learning styles.
According to Harvard professor Dr. Howard Gardner, there are eight distinct learning styles, and each person tends to be inclined towards one more than the others.
These styles are:
Interpersonal
Intrapersonal
Bodily/Kinesthetic
Verbal/Linguistic
Visual/Spatial
Logical/Mathematical
Musical
Naturalistic
Each learning style brings a unique and important approach to teamwork and knowing yours and how to use it will help you engage more effectively with your team.
