In the last post, we looked at the development phase, in which you take the content you designed in phase two, and tweak and test it to perfection.
Now, it’s time for phase four, where you’ll actually deliver your materials to your team.
While you may be ready to sit back and relax, this phase of creating effective professional development materials is quite important.
Here’s why:
During this phase, you’ll need to monitor how your team actually uses these materials and keep an eye out for areas of improvement.
You’ll need to check if the timing of the course went according to how you intended (i.e., are certain sections taking longer or less time than you thought?).
Ideally, at this point, implementing these materials went pretty smoothly, and all the work you put into the previous phases set you and your team up for success.
After your team uses these materials, make sure they are given an opportunity to provide you with feedback; you’ll need it for the final phase: Evaluation.
